Dr. Rudolf Meroni, chairman of the supervisory board
of AS Ventbunkers explains his role as a caretaker for
certain assets of the family of Aivars Lembergs.
Dr. Rudolf Meroni furthermore explains how attacks
are being performed against these business interests.

answer:
We have in the last 18 months gone through quite
a number of difficult situations: we have seen
illegal shareholders meetings being held for the
company Ventbunkers. Very similarely illegal
shareholders meetings were held with Ventspils
commercial port and also with the company
Kalia Parks. So practically all the main companies
where I have a role to protect their business
interests in my position as a caretaker as a
kind of guardian for the state – for the attached
assets of the Lembergs family.
In all these areas I have seen attacks from the
different sides. It is unpleasant but I still believe
that … I have a believe in justice, I have a
believe in cort proceedings.
We have always initiated the necessary proceedings
to fight against such attacks. I hope that the future
will hopefully bring us back to a situation where
such steps are not necessary anymore.
